Insert Your Image in Gmail Background

With this simple gmail trick, you will be able to use your personal picture in gmail background in place of the default images provided by gmail. Use the following instructions to do so:

• Log in to your Gmail account and click on settings 
• In the settings page click on themes tab 
• In themes scroll down to the end of the page and and you will see option of "Custom Themes" with two options-"light" and "dark".choose whichever you prefer.

A new pop up window will open. There you can select your own color combinations for your inbox and a background image for the theme.

Here one important thing i would like to mention is that you can choose pictures from various options like 

• My photos
• Photos from phone
• Upload photos
• paste a URL
• Recently Selected

From these five options,you can choose as per your preference

• When you are done just click on the “save” button and then “close”. 
• Now you can see your own custom theme in action in your Gmail account.
